ARMENIA IN THE CONTEXT OF EURASIAN INTEGRATION

A conference titled Armenia in the Context of Eurasian Integration took place on May 29, 2015 at the Noravank Foundation.

Presentations were made by A. Krylov, Lead Researcher, Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of World Economy and International Relations; V. Harutyunyan, former Minister of Defense of the RoA; A. Skakov, Senior Researcher, Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Oriental Studies; Prof. A. Tavadyan, Armenian State University of Economics; A. Areshev, Editor-in-Chief of http://www.kavkazoved.info; H. Babukhanyan, Member of the National Assembly of the RoA; and A. Safaryan, President, Integration and Development NGO.

The speakers talked about modern problems of the Eurasian integration, external challenges of Armenia and the ways to face those through consolidation of patriotic forces, Armenia’s situation in relation to information wars, the country’s problems and prospects of Eurasian integration, the public opinion and stances of political parties with regard to Eurasian integration, and other issues.

The presentations were followed by discussions.
