14th ANNUAL SESSION OF THE WORLD PUBLIC FORUM DIALOGUE OF CIVILIZATIONS ON RHODES ISLAND
14th Annual Session of the World Public Forum Dialogue of Civilizations (Rhodes Forum 2016) was held from September 30 to October 1, 2016 on Rhodes Island, Greece, organized by Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The forum rubric was The Chaos of Multiplicity: An Urgent Call for Dialogue.
About 160 political leaders, business people, public activists, scientists, experts and journalists from 30 countries were invited to participate in the event. Miloš Zeman, and Vaclav Klaus, current president and ex-president, respectively, of Czech Republic, were among the dignitaries.
During a number of plenary meetings and round tables the participants discussed such issues, as migration crisis in Europe, situation in Syria and other crisis spots, civilized world against barbarism, identity politics and universal human values, alternatives to the current failing economic models, mass migration, Islamic terrorism and many others.
The Noravank Foundation was represented at the Forum by Gagik Harutyunyan, Executive Director, and Joni Melikyan, Expert, Centre for Political Studies.
